Defence technology residency

Twelve weeks for graduates and working engineers. A cohort of ten builds an unmanned system capstone with drubelabs engineers.

The residency is for people who want to work on field robotics for a living. You will cover the full stack, from drivetrain to Sentinel OS, and deliver a capstone UGV or UAV project. Top performers are considered for roles at drubelabs.

The residency covers mobility, sensing, autonomy and secure communications. It does not cover weapons or explosive payloads.

You leave with

  • A capstone unmanned system you designed and built
  • Hands-on time with STRYKER and Sentinel OS
  • Consideration for a role at drubelabs

How it runs

  1. Weeks 1–3 Mobility, power and embedded control
  2. Weeks 4–6 Sensing, mapping and autonomy
  3. Weeks 7–9 Sentinel OS, telemetry and secure links
  4. Weeks 10–12 Capstone build and final review
